Sample Itinerary

Walking tours of Islamic Cairo and Alexandria, a day at the Pyramids (Giza and Sakkara); visits to museums, mosques (Citadel, Ibn Tulun, Amr Ibn al-As), Coptic churches, Ben Ezra synagogue. Evenings and weekends also include sailing on the Nile, dinners at Egyptians' homes, discovering Cairo's urban life - restaurants and coffee shops, bookstores and bazaars (markets).
Site visits to NGOs/civil society organizations, the Arab League Headquarters, the World Bank, Egyptian Foreign Ministry, US Embassy, American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt, Cairo University, American University in Cairo.
End of program visit to either Siwa Oasis and Marsa Matruh, or to Sinai Peninsula, Suez Canal, Mount Moses and Mount St. Catherine
Post-program: Debriefing sessions in Boston (Dates: TBA)
